Why Indoor Boarding Works Better for Small Dogs
Year-Round Comfort
Climate control keeps dogs comfortable through Ontario’s heat, cold and changing weather. This prevents heat stroke, refusal to potty when it is cold or wet.
Protect your dog from environmental hazards like bacteria, fleas, ticks, and viruses. Keep your dog comfortable and clean</br?
Exit Bath & Landry
The exit is as important as the intake and welcome. Any stay 5 days or longer will include an exit bath and blow dry, and we will wash any of your dogs personal items before you pick up.
No matter how much fun your dog has at StaynPlay, they miss you. That is why we like to know when you are picking up your dog so that we can include an 'emotional detox' to help them with the transition.
Staffed All Night - Video Surveillance
Someone is on site all night, just like at home.Your dog will never be left to cry, or never left in a dirty crate if they soil.
Every dog area is covered by high resolution, night vision, video servailance that is stored on the cloud.
Familiar Homelike Spaces
Comfortable rooms feel safer than cages, bars and noisy open play yards.
Indoor spaces can be sanitized consistently using professional pet-safe products. Even the air is 'double cleaned' using an air scrubber with Hepa, and 2 'germ' level air purifiers.
Safer Small-Structured Group Play
Fewer dogs and closer supervision allow fast, thoughtful intervention. Our play groups are maximum 1:7 dogs.
This lets the Coaches kee an eye on behavior, preventing bullying, and giving them time to play games, teach and train, and plan adventures.
Rest Without Isolation
Quiet spaces let dogs nap, decompress and recharge between activities.
Small dogs need connection. They need to see people, and other dogs. This is why our sleeping pods are 100% transparent acrylic.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are vaccination records required before my dog attends?
Yes. No reservations are taken until we have the paper work done, including a copy of your dog’s vaccine’s with your vet’s letterhead – tags are not acceptable. No dog will enter our facility without rabies, annual vaccines, and kennel cough/bordatella vaccine.
Why is StaynPlay an indoor dog Boarding Facility?
Stay N Play is an indoor, climate-controlled dog daycare designed especially for little dogs. The predictable temperature helps small, senior and long-coated dogs remain comfortable through Ontario’s summer heat, winter cold and changing weather. An indoor facility also reduces exposure to mud, ticks, standing water and harsh outdoor conditions while allowing our team to clean and sanitize the environment consistently. Indoor does not mean inactive: each day can include matched social play, movement, enrichment, Minds & Manners activities, comfortable rest and individual attention.
How much time will my dog have in the play areas
The boarders have access to the play areas from 6am to 9am, and again from 5-6pm till 10pm. There is plenty of time for them to enjoy the toys, and social periods. Dogs who have daycare attached will have an average of 4 extra hours.
Can a nervous, shy or sensitive dog stay?
Most little dogs are nervous. We monitor food, water intake, activity, and pottying daily to make sure your pup is doing well. If your pup is not eating or is withdrawn we can offer cuddles, extra attention, a quieter sleeping area, or other adjustments to make sure they are having fun.
When must I pick my dog up?
Boarding dogs can be picked up after 7am, or before 2pm. If you would like an extension please make arrangements before hand. Dogs can be left past 2pm for a $30 fee. Dogs not picked up by 7pm can be picked up the next morning. After 7 the front staff will leave. The kennel Staff are instructed not to open the security doors. The doorbell will be turned off. An extra day will be added to your dog’s invoice, and you can pick them up the next day.
What do I need to bring?
- Bring your dog’s food. Write out clear instructions of how you want us to feed your pet.
- Bring their favourite toys. They must be dryer safe, or safe to sanitize.
- Bring a small bed (it must be small enough to fit in a dryer)
- Bring treats for your pet, or buy daily treats.
- If your dog is on medication bring it in original bottles, with instructions written out in full.
- Bring your waiver, intake sheet, and vacination records. We will turn you away if you do not have the paperwork complete.
