Stay N Play is an indoor, climate-controlled dog daycare designed especially for little dogs. The predictable temperature helps small, senior and long-coated dogs remain comfortable through Ontario’s summer heat, winter cold and changing weather. An indoor facility also reduces exposure to mud, ticks, standing water and harsh outdoor conditions while allowing our team to clean and sanitize the environment consistently. Indoor does not mean inactive: each day can include matched social play, movement, enrichment, Minds & Manners activities, comfortable rest and individual attention.

We keep a maximum of five dogs in each section and match dogs according to size, temperament, energy level and comfort. Smaller groups make it easier for trained staff to watch body language, recognize when a dog needs space and calmly redirect excitement before it escalates. If a dog is becoming overwhelmed, staff can change the activity, move the dog to a quieter section or provide individual attention. Dogs are not expected to remain in a large open-play group all day, and we do not force a dog to socialize when rest or space would be the healthier choice.

Many nervous or sensitive little dogs find a small, predictable group easier to manage than a busy open-play daycare. We ask owners to tell us about their dog’s fears, triggers, favourite treats, routines and comfort signals so our team can respond thoughtfully. Introductions to the environment and other dogs can happen gradually, and a dog can receive quiet time or individual attention instead of being pushed into group play. Daycare must still be a safe and appropriate fit for the individual dog, so our team will discuss any concerns with you honestly.

Yes. Your dog’s vaccination records must be submitted and reviewed before we can accept your dog into our care. Please do not wait until drop-off to provide the records, because we need time to confirm that the required information is complete before your dog enters the daycare environment. If you are unsure what records are currently required, contact Stay N Play before booking and our team will tell you what needs to be submitted.

We do not require or routinely schedule a pre-visit as part of the booking process. However, if you would feel more comfortable introducing your dog to us before the first daycare day, we would be happy to arrange an introduction and facility tour. This optional visit gives you an opportunity to see the space, ask questions and share information about your dog. Vaccination records must still be submitted and reviewed before we can take your dog into our care.

Our dedicated indoor potty room is designed to give dogs familiar outdoor-style signals. It uses a real dog toilet placed on AstroTurf, along with plants that provide recognizable visual and scent cues. The area is sprayed with enzyme to help maintain the potty space and manage odours. These details help dogs understand what the area is for, even though the daycare is indoors, and allow them to take regular bathroom breaks without exposure to extreme weather.

Participation is considered individually and depends on the dog’s age, behaviour, comfort and the safety of every dog in our care. Unspayed dogs are not placed in group play. Because circumstances differ from dog to dog, please contact Stay N Play before booking so we can discuss the most appropriate care arrangement rather than making assumptions about your dog.

Regular daycare is $35 for the first dog and $25 for a second dog. A daycare day is designed around supervised small-group care rather than unrestricted open play. Depending on the dog and the day, care may include matched social time, enrichment, movement, Minds & Manners activities, comfortable rest and individual attention. Every dog also gets a treat. Daycare is $25 when it is combined with a grooming or boarding appointment.

Day Training is $65 and combines the dog’s daycare experience with structured, positive-reinforcement training. Manners and calm behaviour can be practised during the day while the dog also receives appropriate activity, enrichment, rest and supervision. Day Training can be useful for owners who want their dog’s daycare time to support learning as well as social and physical wellness.

The VIP Daycare Pass is $300 plus tax and includes 10 daycare visits that must be used within one calendar month. The VIP Daycare + Grooming package is $375 plus tax and includes 10 daycare visits, a $100 grooming voucher and one-calendar-month validity. The VIP Boarding Pass is $330 and includes five boarding nights, a nail trim and a $50 grooming voucher; it is not valid during the Christmas holiday period and expires December 31, 2026. Every VIP package includes 10% off dog food while the package is valid.
